Babelesque is build up with Wordpress and the lovely Wordpress gives tons of plug-ins to play with. So it’s easy to insert an MP3 file and the result is very nice to see too!
Let’s see how it works:

CASE A:
You have the MP3 of your reading hosted somewhere on the web, maybe on your personal website or blog. All what you need to do is to find out the link that leads to it - something like http://www.yourdomain.com/files/yourreading.mp3 and use it when you make a post, putting it in this way:

[ audio:http://www.yourdomain.com/files/yourreading.mp3 ]

without the spaces. The plug-in encodes it and makes it become the flash audio-player like the one at the end of this page, that will play your file. If you used the ID3 tags then they will show up automatically, otherwise you can add the title and author by writing

[ audio:http://www.yourdomain.com/files/yourreading.mp3|titles=Title of your file|artists=name of the author ]

always without the spaces after and before the brackets.

CASE B:
You don’t own a domain nor any online space where to host your file. No worries! you can host it here, Wordpress has a media gallery for that.
In the writing window - when you compose the post - there are several tools bars: on the Add media one click on the note button (add audio). A window appears where you can upload your file from your computer.
Click on the Choose files to upload button and select your file then upload it. According with the size of the file and your connection it might take sometime, just let it runs.
Once the file is uploaded you can choose a name and a description but the only thing you need to do is to copy the web adress (ctrl+c) of the file from the Link URL field, then click on the save all changes button. No need to click on Insert into post button. Close the window just by clicking on the X button on the up right corner of it.
Now, paste the file URL on your post window where you want the player to appear and put it as

[ audio:http://www.myminimallook.com/babelesque/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/audio.mp3 ]

or

[ audio:http://www.yourdomain.com/files/yourreading.mp3|titles=Title of your file|artists=name of the author ]

always without the spaces of course.

That’s all! you can finish to write your post, and once it will be published your reading will be available in a player like the one below:
