DIARIO Roma 1950 / ローマ 日記1950

DIARIO Roma 1950

Adulto? Mai - mai, come l’esistenza
che non matura - resta sempre acerba
di splendido giorno in splendido giorno -
io non posso che restare fedele
alla stupenda monotonia del mistero.
Ecco perché, nella felicità,
non mi sono mai abbandonato - ecco
perché nell’ansia delle mie colpe
non ho mai provato un rimorso vero.
Pari, sempre pari con l’inespresso,
all’origine di quello che io sono.

(P.P.Pasolini)

DIARY ROMA 1950

Adult? Never - never, like the existence
that never ripen - being always green,
wonderful day by wonderful day -
I can only be loyal
to the wonderful monotony of the mystery.
So it is why, in the happiness,
i never let myself go - so it is
why in the anxiety of my sins
I have never felt a real regret.
Equal, always equal with the unspoken,
to the origin of what i am.

(P.P.Pasolini)

  2. It’s a great reading!!! I love so much background voices too.
    Thanks Nobuhiro!

  3. Im sorry for to be late….

thank you Fran, and your translation, that is really nice!!
and….. why don’t you read this original one in Italian? I’ll love to hear that!!!

    Nice to meet you Paolo!
this background voice was taken from a music composition by a Japanese composer, Yuji Takahashi. That song was composed under the quotation from this Pasolini’s diary. Beautiful music it is, and that’s how I knew this text.

and now…. yeah this text haunts me badly…. since I have to be an adult all the time :P

    Grazie, ありがとう

  4. CRACK
No one will even remember his name
No real friends to mourn him now
That’s the way it is when you die in shame
    Crack ! Heroin ! Cocaine !
Don’t put that poison I your vein
It will only drive you insane !
How many more will die in disgrace ?
    Fated to die in shame
    Wondering around lost in space
    Crack ! Heroin ! Cocaine !
Don’t put that poison in your vein
It will only drive you insane !
Just another victim of smack ! or crack !
Found dead with a needle in his vein
Now he aint ever coming back !
    Crack ! Heroin ! Cocaine !
Don’t put that poison in you vein
It will only drive you insane !
He now stands at heavens door
A lesson for all who remain !
Just another victim in this deadly drug war
    Crack ! Heroin ! Cocaine !
Don’t put that poison in your vein
It will only drive you insane !
You don’t have to go the same way
Don’t be led by so called friends into drugs shame
More will die day after day !
    Crack ! Heroin ! Cocaine !
Don’t put that poison in your vein
It will only drive you insane !
    Read then understand my words
Then spread the message you have heard
Drugs aren’t welcome whatever their name
    Crack ! Heroin ! Cocaine !
Don’t put that poison in your vein
It will only drive you INSANE .
